These factors are identified as primary drivers shaping the dynamics of the sex work market: • Gender – Female profiles tend to charge higher rates than male profiles; however male profiles tend to be more popular than female ones overall • Nationality – Profiles belonging to non-UK nationals tend to charge lower rates than those belonging to UK nationals • Age – Older profiles tend to charge higher rates than younger ones • Service offerings – Profiles offering additional activities such as BDSM (bondage/discipline/sadism/masochism) or roleplay typically command higher prices compared with those offering only basic sexual activities

Conclusion

This research highlights the importance of studying online platforms used by sex workers in order to gain insights into a hidden market. It emphasizes that factors such as gender, nationality, age, and service offerings play significant roles in shaping rates and popularity within the commercial sexual services industry.
