Abstract: The flatness and cosmological constant problems are solved with varying speed of light c, gravitational coupling strength G and cosmological parameter Lambda, by explicitly assuming energy conservation of observed matter. The present solution to the flatness problem is the same as the previous solution in which energy conservation was absent.

In their paper titled "Solutions to Cosmological Problems with Energy Conservation and Varying c, G and Lambda," authors P. Gopakumar and G. V. Vijayagovindan from Mahatma Gandhi University address the flatness and cosmological constant problems in the context of varying speed of light c, gravitational coupling strength G, and cosmological parameter Lambda. By explicitly assuming energy conservation of observed matter, the authors propose a solution that tackles these longstanding issues in cosmology. The key insight of their study lies in the incorporation of energy conservation into the framework, which allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics at play in the universe. This approach not only provides a resolution to the flatness problem but also sheds light on the nature of dark energy and its implications for the overall evolution of cosmic structures. Furthermore, by considering variations in fundamental constants such as c, G, and Lambda, the authors offer a nuanced perspective on how these parameters influence the behavior of spacetime on cosmic scales. The implications of their findings extend beyond theoretical considerations, offering potential insights into observational constraints and future experimental tests. Overall, this work represents a significant contribution to our understanding of cosmological phenomena and underscores the importance of incorporating energy conservation principles into cosmological models. The authors' results pave the way for further investigations into the nature of dark energy and its role in shaping large-scale structures in our universe.
