## Summary

The IT industry is a rapidly evolving and dynamic sector that faces challenges in finding experienced, skilled, and qualified employees. This is crucial as specialists are essential for developing and implementing new ideas into products. However, the recruitment process for IT specialists is often hindered by a gap between the human resources (HR) department and IT professionals. Traditionally, HR departments have played a major role in recruiting qualified employees by assessing their skills, using various HR metrics, and selecting the best candidates for specific jobs. However, most recruiters lack the necessary qualifications to effectively evaluate IT specialists. This disconnect between HR and IT professionals can lead to suboptimal hiring decisions and missed opportunities. To bridge this gap, the authors of this article have designed, implemented, and tested an Expert System for Recruiting IT Specialists (ESRIT). This expert system utilizes advanced technologies such as text mining, natural language processing, and classification algorithms to extract relevant information from resumes. It does so by leveraging a knowledge base that stores key skills and phrases related to IT expertise. By using ESRIT, recruiters can effectively identify candidates with the desired abilities and certifications for specific positions. The system streamlines the recruitment process by automating the evaluation of resumes based on predefined criteria. This ensures that only the most suitable applicants are considered for further assessment. Furthermore, this article highlights the importance of staying up-to-date with emerging trends in the IT industry. It argues that having a comprehensive understanding of the top major IT skills required in a given year is crucial for making informed hiring decisions. By focusing on the domain of IT abilities, organizations can align their recruitment strategies with industry demands and secure highly skilled professionals who possess sought-after expertise. In conclusion, ESRIT offers a solution to address the challenges faced in recruiting IT specialists by bridging the gap between HR departments and these specialized professionals. By leveraging advanced technologies and staying informed about emerging trends in the field, organizations can enhance their recruitment processes and secure the best talent in the IT industry.
