## Summary

Forest fires can have devastating effects on both ecosystems and human lives. To prevent such incidents, this proposal suggests the use of Internet of Things (IoT) and wireless sensor networks in conjunction with multi-hop routing through a real-time and dynamic monitoring system. The system gathers and analyzes information related to meteorological conditions, concentrations of polluting gases, and oxygen levels around specific forest areas of interest. Unusual measurements of these environmental variables can help detect potential risks before they escalate into full-blown fires. To activate environmental risk alerts, a forest fire risk controller based on fuzzy logic has been implemented through a web service and mobile application. Security mechanisms have also been proposed using Lamport's signature and a block cipher algorithm to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of measured environmental information transmission. This research demonstrates the potential for technology to play an important role in mitigating the impact of natural disasters on our planet by providing accurate real-time data analysis that leverages IoT technology for improved forest fire prevention.
