## Summary

The recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) have significantly enhanced its capacity to create art in both autonomous and collaborative settings. AI aims to imitate, combine, and extend existing artistic styles, thereby transforming creative practices. In light of these advancements, our ongoing research focuses on exploring the sustainability and ethical implications of Creative-AI. Our research is divided into two main areas: environmental sustainability and ethical considerations related to power dynamics, authorship, and ownership in the creation process. Regarding environmental sustainability, we conduct case studies on the use of Creative-AI in artistic processes to understand its material and practical impact. Additionally, we quantify the energy consumption associated with AI technologies used by creative practitioners. This analysis helps us identify potential user-centered design implications for system architecture and user experience. We also study the emerging ecosystems of Creative-AI and AI arts to gain insights into their environmental sustainability. From an ethical perspective, we aim to bridge the gap between existing ethical frameworks and their implementation within creative communities and among Creative-AI developers. We investigate how Creative-AI is currently utilized by artist communities and explore future applications envisioned by artists. By applying AI to art creation, we examine its potential impact on the economy and environment. To address our research questions effectively, we employ an interdisciplinary approach that combines interviews, workshops, online ethnography, and energy measurements.
