## Summary

The field of user experience (UX) based on the design philosophy of "user-centered design" is evolving towards the intelligence era. However, the existing UX paradigm primarily focuses on non-intelligent systems and lacks a systematic approach to UX for intelligent systems. The evolution of UX has shown characteristics of the cross-technology era, and the intelligence era has presented new demands on the UX paradigm. To address these demands, this paper proposes a "UX 3.0" paradigm framework and corresponding methodology system in the intelligence era. The "UX 3.0" paradigm framework includes five categories of UX methods: ecological experience, innovation-enabled experience, AI-enabled experience, human-AI interaction-based experience, and human-AI collaboration-based experience methods. Each category provides multiple corresponding UX paradigmatic orientations that can be used to improve existing UX methods and provide methodological support for research and applications of UX in developing intelligent systems. This proposal builds upon previous research in human-computer interaction (HCI) such as Abdul et al. 's (2018) trends and trajectories for explainable, accountable, and intelligible systems; Abbas et al. 's (2022) systematic review on user experience design using machine learning; Amershi et al. 's (2019) guidelines for human-AI interaction; Budiu & Laubheimer's (2018) study on intelligent assistants' poor usability; Buolamwini & Gebru's (2018) work on gender shades in facial recognition technology; and others. The proposed "UX 3.0" paradigm framework aims to provide a more comprehensive approach to designing user experiences with intelligent systems by considering ecological factors, enabling innovation through technology advancements, leveraging AI capabilities while maintaining transparency and accountability through explainability techniques, facilitating seamless interactions between humans and AI agents or interfaces, promoting effective collaboration between humans and AI entities. Overall, this paper contributes to advancing HCI research by proposing a new paradigm framework for UX in the intelligence era and providing a methodology system to support its application. The authors look forward to future research and applications of the "UX 3.0" paradigm in improving user experiences with intelligent systems.
