## Summary

Generative diffusion models have become a popular tool for high-quality image synthesis. However, their iterative nature often requires significant computational resources. To address this issue, this paper introduces an efficient time step sampling method based on spectral analysis of the diffusion process to optimize denoising. Instead of using traditional uniform distribution-based time step sampling, the authors propose a Beta distribution-like sampling technique that prioritizes critical steps in the early and late stages of the process. Through Fourier transforms, they identify significant changes in frequency components concentrated in these stages. The study validates their approach by conducting experiments with ADM and Stable Diffusion models. The results showcase that the Beta Sampling method consistently outperforms uniform sampling in terms of FID and IS scores while maintaining competitive efficiency compared to advanced methods like AutoDiffusion. This highlights the importance of focusing computational resources on impactful steps to enhance diffusion model efficiency. In related works, ongoing research is exploring various perspectives to analyze and improve the denoising process of diffusion models. The findings suggest that optimizing time step sampling strategies can lead to improved performance metrics and computational efficiency. This work contributes a practical framework for refining image generation strategies in diffusion models through spectral analysis and selective time step sampling, paving the way for further optimization and broader applications in image synthesis technology.
