Abstract: This commentary is confined to the issue of using CHSH inequalities of quantum physics to analyze concept combinations. The point made is that these inequalities are not informative unless outcome probabilities satisfy an invariance property known as marginal selectivity. In quantum physics marginal selectivity is ensured by the impossibility of causal relations between events separated by space-like intervals. No similar constraints exist in behavioral applications.
